The kidnappers of the Sudanese nationals, who were in a video going viral on social media over the last days, have been arrested in Sirte by the Security Force and Central Backup Force of Sirte.

The security bodies of Al-Bunyan al-Marsous said early on Wednesday that the kidnappers of the Sudanese nationals were five Libyans and one Palestinian national, adding that they were the ones in the video torturing the Sudanese nationals.

The Sudanese abductees were transferred to Ibn Sina hospital in Sirte for medical care after the torture and abuses they suffered on the hands of the kidnappers.

It is worth mentioning that the Sudanese Foreign Ministry summoned the Libyan chargé d’affaires in Khartoum on Tuesday to protest the video that showed torture of Sudanese nationals in Libya.
