Algerian authorities ban Libyans with the old passport (green passport) from entering the country starting from January 19.

By this, Algeria has joined Tunisia and other countries which all require the Libyans to have the new electronic passport in order to allow them in their countries.

Meanwhile, Libya is going through tough time issuing new electronic passports for the citizens as thousands stand in lines everyday in front of the issuing centers in Tripoli and other cities to register for one, and all of this goes back to many problems, especially the security ones.
