Colombia first in Copa America second round

Colombia became the first team to reach the quarter-finals of the Copa America as they beat a spirited Paraguay side 2-1 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

Carlos Bacca opened the scoring before James Rodriguez added a second in the first half, but Jose Pekerman’s side didn’t have it all their own way as Victor Ayala’s stunning strike gave Paraguay hope in the second half
