On Monday morning, the Speaker of the House of Representatives in Tobruk, Aqiulah Saleh, met with the Ambassador of Holland to Libya, Eric Strating, in Qubba town.

The meeting discussed the Netherlands’ support for the Libyan peaceful solution to get out from the current political and economic crises.

Strating and Saleh also discussed the possible steps that can be taken to revive the political process under the supervision of the UNSMIL, headed by Martin Kobler.

Before meeting with Saleh, the Dutch ambassador met with the leader of the Operation Dignity in Benghazi, Khalifa Haftar, and discussed with him security cooperation.

This new visit is Strating’s second to eastern Libya as he visited it last April for the first time.
