On Sunday, The Passports, Citizenship and Foreign Affairs Authority announced reopened its online site to allow Libyans in need for the e-passport to register for one.

Startlingly enough, after few hours online, the Authority reported that the number of registered appointments reached 150,000 although the online system opened only at 2 pm and closed a few hours later, for which the Authority apologised.

Those who successfully registered will be notified to go to the offices they picked online and get passport pictures as well as complete registration applications to finally obtain the e-passport as the old green-coloured Gaddafi issued passport is no longer valid for travelling outside Libya.
