Early morning clashes leave one killed in west Libya

Clashes erupted Sunday dawn in the city of Sabratha in western Libya, sources from the city’s security department said.

According to the sources, two armed groups clashed in the city center leaving at least one person dead and some others injured.

The sources also added that uneasy calm has descended on the city afterwards.

In the meantime, according to the sources, the Sabratha security department held a meeting this morning for security officials, and the city’s elders and dignitaries to reach a settlement of the skirmishes among armed groups in the city.
