A festival for documentary films and short films on human rights issue under the name Erato with the slogan “I’m human” has opened in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.

The film festival will last for five days until December 14 and over 75 films will compete for three awards and the judges award.

Sunday opening movie was a docudrama for the Syrian director Al-Mohannad Kalthom “Jasmine” which has won many awards before.

The film is a melancholic portrait of the war ramification on children in Syria with an optimist representation of the hope the children harbour for a better Syria and a better future.
