League of Arab States ambassador in Benghazi to meet commander of Operation Dignity

The League of Arab States ambassador to Libya, Salahaddin Al-Jammali arrived in Benghazi on an official visit, during which he will meet with Khalifa Haftar, commander of Operation Dignity.

Al-Jamali told IRM News that he came to listen to the vision of commander Haftar and “his suggestions about the process of political resolution in Libya.”

He said that Haftar “remains a central figure with a weight and role in resolving the Libyan crisis.”

The ambassador called on the Libyan parties to further understanding, and to engage in the efforts of UN special envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame.
