The Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord has sacked the Interior Minister Aref Al-Khouja today.

The Presidential Council issued a statement earlier on Thursday dismissing Al-Khouja from his post as Interior Minister and appointing his deputy Abdelsalam Mustafa Ashor as an acting minister.

The dismissal statement says the order shall be applied and made known to all GNA divisions starting Thursday – the date of the issue.
