Mobile power plant to arrive in Tripoli from Italy

According to sources from the Presidential Council, a mobile power plant with a capacity of 300 megawatts is going to dock in Tripoli port on board an Italian ship coming from Italy.

A team of technicians will be present onboard and will be responsible for operating the power plant, which is expected to reduce power outages to 2 hours per day in Tripoli.

“This is a step we did in a bid to find a radical solution for the power crisis.” Sources from the Government of National Accord added.

On Saturday the whole western region as well as the southern region and some parts of the east entered into a total blackout at the same time amid the freezing winter conditions and even outage of water supplies in some areas, especially Tripoli.
