State Supreme Council’s Chairman and CBL’s Governor discuss cash crisis

The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Al-Seddiq Al-Kabeer, has met with the Chairman of the Libyan State Supreme Council, Abdulrahman Al-Shater and Saleh Al-Makhzoum, the head of the Skhirat dialogue team of the General National Congress.

The meeting that took place in Tripoli Monday resulted in outlining quick and urgent solutions to the burdening cash crisis in the commercial banks, and discussed the decreasing value of the US dollar against the Libyan dinar.

It also discussed the possibilities available for securing and protecting the banks so that they can finalize the preparations for providing all banks with cash and open letters of credit.
