Tribal prominent leader assassinated in car bombing in Suluq

A car bomb exploded near Bilal Ben Rabah mosque in Suluq, eastern Libya killing the prominent leader of Awageer Tribe, Ebrik Al-Lawati.

The car bombing came after Friday prayer according to sources from the city.

This bombing is no accident, sources said, adding that it is an assassination of the Awageer leader, Al-Lawati.

No one claimed responsibility for this assassination but many media outlets and news operators pointed fingers at Operation Dignity forces, led by Khalifa Haftar.
