Tripoli-based CBL receives 112.5 million dinars printed in Britain

Breaking News LEX

The official website of the Tripoli-based Central Bank of Libya has announced that the bank received Wednesday an amount of 112.5 million Libyan dinars printed in the UK coming on board a plane that landed at Mitiga airport.

This might alleviate the bad living conditions the Libyan citizens are suffering from due to the lack of cash at the banks, yet it could cause more troubles as the parallel CBL in the east announced it had distributed LYD200 million to the banks in the east from the money printed in Russia, knowing that the Tripoli-based CBL regarded that money as counterfeit.
