Tropical storm Tembin kills more than 200 people

At least 200 people have been killed after intense flooding and landslide caused by tropical storm Tembin hit the southern Philippines.

Mindanao island, home to 20 million people, was struck by the powerful storm on Friday destroying villages.

A massive rescue operation is ongoing as more than 100 people are reported missing and a total of 70.000 were affected by the storm, many of them are displaced, according to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)
