The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General, Martin Kobler, will arrive in the eastern city of Tobruk on Thursday to have consultations with the speaker of the Tobruk-based parliament (HoR), according to well-informed sources.

Kobler will subsequently fly to the capital Tripoli the next day in order to hold a meeting with the Chairman of the General National Congress (GNC), Nuri Abu Sahmain.

A member of GNC’s political committee said that Mr. Abu Sahmain is expected to request further amendments on the UN-sponsored political agreement signed in Skhirat this month.
