A senior diplomat at the United Nations will visit North Korea on Tuesday.

Jeffrey Feltman, American and U.N. Undersecretary-General for Political Affairs, will meet with top North Korean officials, including the foreign minister Ri Yong-ho, for “policy dialogue” as North Korea suggested in an invitation to the UN.

The visit is the first by a high ranking UN official in six years.

It comes after last week’s launch of what North Korean State Media called the “most powerful” intercontinental ballistic missile, claiming it could reach the US mainland.
