Sources told the Libyan News that armed clashes took place early on Tuesday between Khalifa Haftar’s forces supported by forces from the Sudanese Justice and Equality Movement and Tirpoli-based General Staff forces supported by the General Staff air force, which took off from Misurata airbase.

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, said that a number of dead fighters and other injured were seen among the two clashing parties, pointing out that the aim of the clashes is Haftar’s attempt to control the oil fields in the area.
