The Libyan Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord, Fayez Al-Serraj, met on Tuesday with the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, to discuss the security situation in Libya.
According to a statement on the EU Mission to Libya’s website, Mogherini reiterated the EU’s support for the GNA and gave Al-Serraj an idea about some initiatives that aim at pushing for active results by the GNA in the coming period of time.
“The EU is committed to backing up the Libyan Political Agreement and the priorities that the GNA has set for Libya on all levels, including the illegal migration issue and the monitoring of borders.” Mogherini added.
