Serraj: Preparations for Sirte liberation battle underway
The Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Serraj, said Thursday in a recorded statement that preparations for battle of freeing Sirte from ISIS are underway.
He said that the Defense Minister of the UN-backed GNA, Mahdi Barghathi has been asked to form a joint leadership from the west, east and south to head to Sirte and eradicate the ISIS militants from there.
Serraj also said that Batghathi was asked to outline the financial and military needs for forming a joint force and a joint operations room.
