National Salvation Government PM inaugurates Al-Khums power plant

The Prime Minister of the dismissed National Salvation Government, Khalifa Al-Ghweil, has opened today the second gas turbine at the Al-Khums urgent power plant.
The project of Al-Khums urgent power plant is a contraction between the Libyan General Electricity Company and the Turkish Galik company that was signed in 2014 by 337 million dollars.
“The new gas turbine will support the general electricity network and will have power output of 262 megawatts.” Al-Ghweil said in his speech at the opening ceremony on Saturday.
He added that the Al-Khums power plant is going to help solve the outages of power and the continuous tiring load shedding in the region as it will be a great asset to the general electricity network.
