Cairo hosted meetings between Saleh and Al-Serraj

Cairo has hosted a number of meetings for Libyan political figures aiming at bringing the conflicting parities to a common ground. The meetings took place on Monday and Tuesday.
Sources from Egypt said the meetings included discussions between the Speaker of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives, Aqilah Saleh, and the Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Serraj.
On its official website, the Egyptian Interior Ministry said the meetings were aimed at narrowing down the disputes and disagreements and bringing the parties together at a point of interest to all.
“The meetings aim at a new phase of discussions among Libyans to discard their disagreements and start accepting each other for building new institutions and new country full of security and prosperity.” The Egyptian Interior Ministry wrote.
