Misurata Central Hospital: 2,740 surgeries in the first half of 2016
Misurata Central Hospital has announced that it has carried out 2,740 surgeries in the first six months of 2016, according to the Medical Documentation and Information Bureau at the hospital.
The bureau explained that the hospital conducted 1,150 orthopedic surgeries, 1001 general operations, 301 ocular surgeries, 150 surgeries done at the otolaryngology section, 114 ones at the urology section, 54 vascular surgeries, and 70 neurosurgeries.
It also pointed out that 1,782 surgeries were for men, 609 for women, and 349 for children.
In addition, the bureau added that 2,256 of the surgeries were conducted under anesthesia, while 484 ones were conducted under partial anesthesia
