GNA’s Education Ministry says new school year on October 24

The Minister of Education at the Government of National Accord (GNA), Mohammad Al-Azzabi, said Thursday that the new school year date has been modified, along with the dates of the exams and end of the year.
Al-Azzabi said the new school year will kick off on October 24 instead of on October 02 this year.
Many problems have been facing both people and the ministry when preparing for the start of this year’s come-back to schools.
On one hand, the Ministry of Education has failed so far to print the school books needed for the students.
On the other, people are suffering from financial and security problems that are hindering a healthy start of a new educational year.
