200 African migrants rescued off Libyan coast, five drowned

More than 200 African refugees headed for Italy were rescued overnight by a Save the Children operation when their boat hit a storm near Libya. At least five drowned.
Last week, some 15 migrants were feared drowned after a high-seas rescue off the coast of Libya in which several ships pulled 100 people to safety from a sinking dinghy.
Libya has become the favorite crossing point for African migrants who are fleeing their countries to the European continent for better lives and safety.
