Eight Filipino nurses arrive in Manila after hostage situation ends
Eight Filipino nurses as well as a 10-month-old baby who were held hostage by the Islamic State (ISIS) in Libya arrived in Manila on Sunday night.
The hostages came from a 5-day debriefing and medical check-up in Istanbul, Turkey.
The nurses talked to medical experts in Istabul and also went sight-seeing to help them forget the trauma brought about by their captivity.
They were accompanied onboard the Turkish Airlines flight by Department of Foreign Affairs Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs (DFA-OUMWA) executive director Ambassador Ricardo Endaya.
