Derna is free of ISIS, the city’s Shura Council announces
The Commander of Derna Shura Council fighters, Muftah Hamzah, disclosed that the city’s revolutionary fighters kicked out all of the ISIS militants who were positioned in Al-Fatayeh district, their last haven in Derna.
The freeing of Derna from ISIS is now complete and it came after clashes with the last remaining militants in Al-Fatayeh district in Derna pushing them to to Al-Makhili on the way to Sirte.
This news comes as a relief for the city after it has been fighting the terrorist group for more than two years, and now has finally got did of it for good, according to the Derna Shura Council commander.
