Messahel says his country hopes to be the first to reopen embassy in Tripoli
The Algerian Minister of Maghreb Affairs, African Union and Arab League, Abdelkader Messahel, said that he hopes his country’s embassy will be one of the first ones to reopen in the capital Tripoli.
Messahel, in a joint presser with Ahmad Mitig, the Deputy of the Presidential Council of the UN-backed GNA, said Algeria and Libya are two neighbouring countries that are so entwined and have mutual interests.
In January 2015, a bomb blasted at the Algerian embassy in Tripoli leaving three injuries and a considerable damage in the building.
