GNC denounces State Supreme Council’s take-over of its headquarters
The spokesman of the General National Congress, Omer Hameidan, said the entrance of the UN-backed State Supreme Council into Qusoor Al-Diyafa, the headquarters of the General National Congress, is an attack on and sabotage directed at the GNC’s archive.
Hameidan called, in a statement Tuesday, on the Salvation Government and all state institutions to continue their duties according to the constitutional declaration, pointing out that the GNC is still doing its job as usual from another headquarters.
“The GNc calls on the Libyan judiciary to speed up the verdict on the lawsuits filed by the GNC against the political agreement and the State Supreme Council.” Hameidan declared.
