Kobler meets Bogdanov in Moscow, they stress need for speeding up GNA’s support for a “united Libya”

Russia has announced that it calls on the political forces in Libya to organize their work of the national bodies of power, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday after a meeting of the Russian president’s special envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov with Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Martin Kobler.
The two officials had a detailed exchange of views on the situation in Libya with emphasis on various aspects of the implementation of the intra-Libyan political agreement, including the establishment of a national accord government in Libya, sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Russia told news agencies.
“Martin Kobler and Bogdanov stressed the importance of implementing the UN Security Council resolution formalizing the Skhirat agreements as a key element of the internal Libyan conflict settlement.” It added.
