British ambassador to Libya: We could lift the ban on arms imports in Libya

The British ambassador to Libya, Peter Millett, said Friday that the United Kingdom is ready to consider lifting the ban on arms exportation on Libya if the Presidential Council requested.
The ban on arms exportation has been slammed on Libya since the fall of dictator Muamar Gaddafi in 2011 by the United Nations Security Council.
Many attempts by rival governments in the east and west were directed to the UN asking for lifting the ban, however none was agreed on as the UN is waiting for an accord government that can handle the security issue of the country firmly.
