Algeria tells Haftar to take off military attire in his recent visit
Algeria has reportedly rejected to receive the Libyan Operation Dignity leader, Khalifa Haftar, in his military attire when he recently visited the country, which is seen as an implied signal that the Algerian government does not recognise Haftar as a military leader in Libya, According to a report by the New Arab.
The New Arab added Algeria is currently hosting political discussions over the future of the country in order to avoid a further civil war between the various military factions.
Haftar and before him Aqilah Saleh have visited Algeria recently in a bid to gather support for their military action in eastern Libya and for more support for their forces to extend their military grip to all of the Libyan regions.
Khalifa Haftar is a self-styled military General who has been promoted to a Field Marshall by the Tobruk-based House of Representatives although he was considered retired from the Libyan Army after being a captive of Libya-Chad war and after moving to the US as an asylum seeker.
