Angela Merkel invites Fayez Al-Serraj to Germany

The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, has been on the phone with the Head of the UN-backed Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Serraj, earlier Tuesday, when she invited him to pay a formal visit to Germany.

The Media Office of the PC explained that the German Chancellor welcomed the efforts of the PC Head and members in prevailing peace and security in Tripoli since their arrival, saying that Merkel said that Germany is ready to support the GNA as was passed earlier by the German Foreign Minister, who visited Tripoli days ago.

“Our Foreign Minister told us about the stability and security in Tripoli and we are very happy to hear that, so we will help Libya continue as such.” The Media Office of the PC reported Merkel as saying.
