At least 25 immigrants surfaced off Zuwara shores
An official at the Libyan Red Crescent said sea waves drifted Thursday morning at least 25 bodies of illegal immigrants who were trying, as it were, to make their journey to Europe on death boats across the Mediterranean.
The official added that the relief volunteers are still taking the bodies out of the sea and bringing them ashore, pointing out that it is unclear how hey drowned.
Meanwhile, hundreds of immigrants of different African nationalities drowned over this week as they were sailing on dinghies from Zuwara, Sabratha and other coastal cities toward Italy hoping for better lives and better conditions.
