Coast Guard intercepts smuggling vessel off Zuwara shores

The Coast Guard of the western region captured Tuesday a vessel off Zuwara shores smuggling diesel under the name Saint Joan that is owned by an Egyptian national.
The vessel had three crewmen onboard, a Syrian national and two Egyptians and it was loaded with 85 thousand liters a day before it was caught by the Coast Guard.
The Coast Guard explained that the crewmen had ammunition and weapons with them aboard the vessel, so they had been taken along their vessel to the Tripoli Navy Base, where they will be under legal investigation.
