Egyptian authorities intercept 51 illegal migrants on border with Libya

The Egyptian authorities said they intercepted 51 illegal migrants on Monday as they were trying to enter Libya via desert in Al-Salloum at the border with Libya.
Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported an official as saying that among the 51 arrested, there were 9 Sudanese nationals who all were trying to cross the border and enter illegally to Libya.
The official added that the Egyptian authorities sent the migrants to the relevant authorities in the country in order to take the legal actions against them.
The Libyan border with Egypt has also been witnessing active migration movement with a number of Egyptians and other nationals trying to enter Libya’s territories.
