Fierce clashes in Sirte between Libyan forces and ISIS, 11 killed
The media office of the Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous operation led by Misurata-led Libyan forces has announced that 11 of their forces were killed in Thursday fierce clashes in downtown Sirte against the ISIS militants who are barricading in an area of 5 km.
The clashes broke out this morning as the Libyan force advanced into the last hide outs of the ISIS terrorists in the city center and Ouagadougou Halls Compound accompanied by heavy artillery and fire by forces.
Earlier on Thursday, the media office also announced that a Libyan journalist, named Abdulkader Fassouq, who is famous for covering the war on ISIS in Sirte and the conflict in Benghazi, was killed by an ISIS sniper in the heavy clashes.
