Fire engulfs parts of National Heart Center in Tripoli
The Director of the National Heart Center, Tajoura Tripoli, Abu Bakir Ashbili, revealed that the reason behind the fire that broke out in the closed part of the center was an electric fault in the old air-conditions.
“Because there was no ventilation system in the closed part of the center, the fire managed to become bigger and cause damages, Ashbili indicated.
The fire led also to the delay of a surgery scheduled to help treat one of the patients at the center, which put his life in danger, Ashbili added.
The firemen of Tripoli Safety and Emergency Department put off the fire on Wednesday morning and reported no casualties.
