Ghadames airport reopens after three years of closure

Ghadames airport, some 650 km away from Tripoli, has reopened after three years of closure.

Libyan Airlines said it will operate one flight between Tripoli’s Mitiga Airport and Ghadames Airport every Tuesday.

It added that the two-way ticket will be for 100 dinars and the one-way ticket will be for 70 dinars.

Ghadames is a city that has borders with Algeria and Tunisia and is famous for its old city that was inhabited by the native Libyan tribes of the desert in ancient times.
