The Libyan Red Crescent in Azzawiya city said it won’t work in the illegal immigration rescue jobs, medical checks and other fields related to it until a further notice.

The Red Crescent clarified that this action comes to due receiving no support from authorities and no reply from the international organisations regarding its demands and necessary equipment needed to continue its work.

” There are no sufficient areas for burying the drowned bodies, no special cars to transfer the dead bodies.” It stated, adding that the Red Crescent’s volunteers used to transfer bodies in one truck and the only ambulance they had.

It concluded by saying there must be more support given to the Red Crescent volunteers as bodies surfacing on the beaches are becoming abundant in number day by day.
