Mayor of Misurata assassinated

The mayor of Misurata, Mohammad Eshtiwi was assassinated on Sunday.
The mayor’s car was attacked after leaving the International airport in Misurata, upon his arrival from Turkey.
The unknown armed group kidnapped Eshtiwi to an unidentified location, where he was shot and beaten. His body was thrown in front of a private clinic in Misurata.
Eshtiwi was accompanied by his brother Ahmad Eshtiwi, who was shot as well, but is in a stable condition, according to a statement by Misurata hospital.
The municipal council of Misurata declared on Monday, three days of mourning.
