Presidential Council and Holland’s FM discuss recovering Libya’s frozen assets
Member of Presidential Council, Muhammed Al-Emmari said there was a discussion Thursday with the Foreign Secretary of the Netherlands, Bert Koenders, the possibility of recovering the Libyan frozen assets outside Libya.
Al-Emmari, in a joint press conference with Bert Koenders, said this visit comes to provide support for the PC and the UN-backed GNA as they both stressed that issues of economy, security, and illegal immigration must be addressed by both countries as they are of vital interest to them.
Koenders said that he and Al-Emmari discussed the potentials of retrieving the Libyan frozen assets in the Netherlands to allocate them for humanitarian assistance.
He added that Holland is ready to help Libya in security measures and in training the Coast Guard in conjunction with the National Organisation of Migration.
