Saleh: Presidential Council doesn’t have the right to appoint new military leadership

The Speaker of Tobruk-based House of Representatives, Aqilah Saleh, said Friday that the UN-backed Presidential Council doesn’t have the right to appoint new military leadership as it is not included in the declaration of constitution.

Sakeh added that the HoR rejects the PC’s reference to the “Libyan armed forces” as military forces, saying that those are military institutions of the HoR, according to Saleh..

He said that he is the Chief of Command if the Libyan armed forces as per the constitutional declaration.
