Tobruk Parliament rejects EU sanctions on Speaker, Aqilah Saleh
Tobruk Parliament has rejected the EU sanctions slapped earlier last week on its Speaker, Aqilah Saleh.
In a statement Tuesday, Tobruk Parliament called on the EU to lift their sanctions and respect the sovereignty of Libya staying away from intervening in its internal affairs.
Earlier on Friday, the European Union’s official magazine published the resolution of sanctioning three Libyan figures, Aqilsh Saleh Speaker of Tobruk Parliament, Nuri Abusahmain Speaker of the General National Congress, and Khalifa Al-Ghweil Prime Minister of the Salvation Government, whom it called hindrance to the accord government.
