UNSMIL refutes “inaccurate” statements attributed to Martin Kobler

The spokesman of the UNSMIL has confirmed that the statements of giving 10 days for the HoR to endorse the GNA shared on some Libyan media outlets as said by the UN delegate to Libya, Martin Kobler, are incomplete.
The spokesman said what Kobler meant was that according to the political agreement, the HoR was supposed to meet after 10 days from the presentation if the GNA cabinet, and this has not happens until now.
He added that the UNSMIL talked to the media outlets and explained what is right, then they actually corrected the statements, pointing out that Kobler did not mean under any circumstances to give a conditioned time for the HoR to vote for the GNA.
The spokesman stressed that the UNSMIL fully respects the sovereignty of Libya and its state institutions.
