US supports Presidential Council’s approach to take on ISIS
The US special delegate to Libya, Jonathan Winer, said on his official Twitter account that his country fully backs up the decision of the UN-backed GNA’s Presidential Council to liberate Sirte from ISIS.
“We join in supporting integrated approach by Libya to take on and defeat Daesh – ISIL in Sirte and beyond.” Winer tweeted.

Earlier on Thursday, the PC issued a statement ordering all forces to wait for the appointing of a joint leadership for the liberation operation of Sirte, and those that violate the orders, it said will be held accountable for their actions as they are violating the military orders of the Chief Commander of the Libyan Army (PC).
