Wife of Al-Qaeda Maghreb leader Mokhtar Belmokhtar arrested in Libya

Two Tunisian women were arrested with their driver by the eastern Terrorism Combat General Directorship, a security source in Al-Thinni government of the Torbuk-based House of Representatives reported Sunday.
“One of the two women was the wife of the Algerian prominent commander of Al-Qaeda in the Arab Maghreb, Mokhtar Belmokhtar (also known as The One-Eyed).” The source added.
He also said that the Tunisian wife of the One-Eyed is a wanted person in Tunisia.
According to the source, the arrest of the two Tunisian women came following a tip-off leading to tracing a group coming from the desert and heading to Jufra in southern Sirte after they came from eastern in Libya at the first place.
The identity of the Tunisian wife of Belmokhtar was not revealed by the force that arrested her, added the source.
