UNESCO confirms arriving at plans to protect Libya’s cultural heritage
The UNESCO confirmed Friday that it is cooperating with all partners to endorse a plan to help provide protection to the Libyan cultural legacy.
After a three-day meeting ended on Friday, UNESCO announced reaching common ground regarding preserving Libya’s cultural identity, by protecting and providing the needed reconstruction for the ruins, cultural sites, and traditional and historical heritage in Libya.
The meeting was supervised by the US Embassy in Libya in cooperation with the ruins department in Libya as well as the UNESCO and the international center for reconstruction of cultural properties.
