Italian mobile air traffic controller arrives in Mitiga airport

An Italian mobile air traffic controller (ATC) has arrived in the Mitiga Airport in Tripoli as part of a contract signed between the Libyan and Italian civil aviation authorities.
The ATC will be installed later in the airport and will be an asset in facilitating the air traffic movement in the rather busy airport, as it is the only one operational in Tripoli since 2014.
The provision of the ATC was conducted by the Italian company ENAV.
This is one ATC, which is mobile, and the second one – as the contract was signed for two ATCs – will be then brought to Libya by the same Italian company.
