A social media hashtag (#Khatri#I_Fancy has gone viral over the last few days on social media platforms across Libya.

The hashtag is a word that translate “I fancy” which is used by Libyans to say what they fancy but could not have or buy for several reasons, but most majorly for lack of money.

Many Libyan social media pages, companies, activists and others took part and made challenges via Facebook posts asking Libyans to speak out in comments what they fancy “Khatri” and vowed to make some of their wishes come true by random selection.

The latest firm joining the trend is Libyan Wings Airlines, which said it will select three participants in a post it made on Facebook under the hashtag “#Khatri_AlAjniha” “#IfancyLibyanWings” and those winners will have free tickets – two on economic class and one on the VIP.

“We will announce the randomly selected winners on our social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.” The airliner said.

It also added that there will be more surprises for Libyans in days to come so that it would have a distinguished participation in the “#Khatri” hashtag.
