The UN-backed Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord has taken over Monday a number of the state ministries and institutions in Tripoli.

The UN-backed PC took this morning the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry, the Endowment (Awkaf) Ministry, and the Ministry of Planning in Tripoli.

Days ago, the State Supreme Council and the PC also took a couple of ministerial headquarters in the capital, including the General National Congress‘s headquarters on Friday, in an attempt to position itself as legitimate sole authority in the country in general and the capital, in particular.
